Mechanical Technician

Education & Experience

  • Completion of preparatory (12 years) technical secondary education, followed by a 2 years training course in a related field.
  • 6 years’ experience pipe fitting work and experience in the repair and installation of piping in a petroleum refinery or petrochemical plant.
  • Working knowledge of English.
  • Writing and speaking.
  • Age 25 to 45 years.

Job Description

  • Receives work assignment from supervisor with comments on required work, examine faulty equipment to determine scope & requirement, obtain necessary tools & spares, proceed to worksite to perform job.
  • Carries out skilled mechanical fault finding, diagnosis & defective repair of various equipment indicated by regular predictive check or the failure of equipment reported by operation department.
  • Carryout routine, preventive, predictive maintenance check & test in running equipment and machinery including taking correct measurement, clearances, tolerances & alignment within acceptable limit by using wide range of precision measuring tools like laser alignment tool, Vernier & micrometre, use of bore gauge etc.
  • Determine in conjunction with Supervisor where major equipment & sub-assemblies to be removed to workshop for major repair or overhauling.
  • Participate in annual shutdown or major equipment turn-around in plant.
  • Complies with all safety & fire rules and ADNOC REFINING (RRW) HSE regulations, correct use of PPEs at site to perform the job in a safe manner withouthampering the life of self & colleague as well as the COMPANY assets.
  • Carries out installations, modifications & testing of equipment at various stages. Runs offload and on-stream tests to ensure proper operation, satisfies himself of correct alignment as well as other parameters like vibration and temperature etc. and hands over repaired equipment to operation personnel.
  • Observing and maintaining good housekeeping.
  • Exposed to Work Environment: 90% of working time is exposed to prevailing environment condition and operating plan condition. Physical demand: spends more than 90% of working time walking, standing, bending, carrying medium weight materials & equipment and using a variety of hand tools and power tools to carry out maintenance tasks.

Electrical Technician

Education & Experience

  • Completion of Technical Secondary (12 years) education followed by a 2 years’ trade Diploma in
  • Electrical the respective trade. Preference will be given to candidates having 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

  • 8 years' experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of low voltage power • equipment associated controls, motor starters and plant electrical distribution system, • Preferably in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry. • Working knowledge of English.
  • Age 25- 45 years

Job Description

  • Receives work assignment from supervisor with comments on required work, examine faulty equipment to determine scope & requirement, obtain necessary tools & spares, proceed to worksite to perform job.
  • Carries out skilled electrical fault finding, diagnosis and defect repair, operation of electrical equipment’s like, Transformer, HV, LV SWG, Motors, MOV, Lighting and UPS.
  • Familiarization of hazardous are classified equipment and related maintenance.
  • Carries out the routine, predictive and preventive maintenance checks of electrical systems and associated systems as per standard procedure and check list. Including checking and cleaning of various electrical equipment’s, checking for malfunction.
  • Performs the regular routine inspection of all equipment’s in the assigned area. Carries out maintenance and repair work and strips, cleans, checks and recalibrates electrical equipment’s, as assigned by the supervisor, during shutdowns. Participate in annual shutdown or major equipment turn-around in plant.
  • Registers job out and fills in necessary records upon completion of the job, detailing spare parts, materials and manpower utilized for subsequent cost

assignment by the Supervisor/Engineer. Maintains records of equipment repairs carried out and draws the attention of supervisor to the need for replenishment of spare parts and materials as required.

  • Complies with all HSE requirements including the all mandatory PPE's and ensures that all personnel working in his area comply with safety regulation. Keep maintenance work sites and repair shop in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Exposed to Work Environment: 90% of working time is exposed to prevailing environment condition and operating plan condition.
  • Physical Effort: spends more than 90% of working time walking, standing, climbing and bending. Moderate effort is required when Using hand tools, with occasional intensive effort when using large electrical equipment’s.

Control Technician

Education & Experience

  • Completion of Preparatory (12 years) technical secondary education followed by a 2year, technical certificate course Diploma in instrumentation/Electrical/Elec tronic engineering.
  • 8 years' experience in the installation, maintenance and repair of electronic, pneumatic and microprocessor based instruments in an oil/gas or Petrochemical industry.
  • Working knowledge of English.
  • Age 25- 45 Years

Job Description

  • Receives work assignment from supervisor with comments on required work, examine faulty equipment to determine scope & requirement, obtain necessary tools & spares, proceed to worksite to perform job.
  • Carries out skilled instrumentation fault finding, diagnosis and defect repair of electrical, electronic, pneumatic and microprocessor based control instruments. Includes carrying out fault finding on microprocessor based systems, changing PCB's, reloading programs on the system and re- starting system to ensure the repair shop, measuring voltage and checking field operation through calibration of the system. Interprets logic diagrams to locate and rectify faults. Overhauls various pneumatic and electronic instruments such as transmitters, sensors, switches, controllers and control valves.
  • Tests, calibrates and reinstalls repaired electronic/ electrical and pneumatic instruments ensuring accuracy of operation and recording independently, within a system or circuit and in synchronization with others.
  • Performs the regular routine inspection of all instruments in the assigned area. Carries out maintenance and repair work and strips, cleans, checks and recalibrates electrical instrument, as assigned by the supervisor, during shutdowns. Participate

 

Helper

  • High school certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar industry and similar maintenance support function.
  • Age between 20 to 35 years

Job Description

  • Under stands working hazards of refinery operating areas. Also understand hazards related working at height and other Maintenance related activities.
  • Worked as support in maintenance like cleaning of equipment, degreasing of various machinery components.
  • Handing over of tools to technicians, carrying tools to worksites.
  • General housekeeping of maintenance work shops after completion of repair/fabrication.
  • Help welder in shifting welding cables & prepare for welding.
  • De-dusting of electrical equipment during Periodic Maintenances.
  • As directed, help technicians in minor cleaning effort related to major maintenance.
  • Excavation/backfilling of earth to attend underground water leaks & electrical cable defects.
  • Prepare Underground metallic/nonmetallic pipes for repair by technicians.
  • Help Workshop in general machining activities by moving material from one place to other.
